Hello, my name is Matthew Adams. I attended the
Minneapolis College of Art and Design and received a BFA in editorial illustration. After graduation, I freelanced as an Illustrator for City Pages weekly in Minneapolis and had my work published in local and national magazines and newspapers. In 1995 I won a Dimensional Illustrators Award and participated in the Dimensional Illustrators Awards show at the
Society of Illustrators in New York. To pay off student loans, I acquired my first computer and taught myself HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXpress, then spent time bopping around the Twin Cities as a freelancer and working as a temp for ad agencies and Internet start-ups. From March of 2002 to February of 2008, I was the resident web nerd at
Department 56 in Eden Prairie building multimedia projects and pursing my passions in video. While working at Dept 56, I collaborated on a number of projects with
Row27 Studios and
U4EA Design. I made my way over to U4EA where I have been expanding my repertoire in multimedia and motion design. In my spare time I like to play with my kids, design fonts and photoshop brushes, create collages and work on my house.
If you're looking for Photoshop brushes, check out the
blog. Look for a brushes website to come where all the free sets will be posted as well as some for purchase. In the meantime, view my motion graphics portfolio below and feel free to drop me a
line.
